Flore Scouts Group - An Appeal...

tessachamberlin@yahoo.co.uk

Flore Scouts Group are seeking sponsorship of local villagers/Businesses.

This wonderful Group and its Volunteers has been responsible for creating so many fun filled memories for the children of the village for the last 100 Years.  A large portion of Flore Commity has ties with our Group and a Business would get advertising value from your partnership with us.

We frequently need various pieces of equipment for Camps/Events/Days out etc.  Running costs of the Group continue to rise as does everything.

We are delighted to say that there are children in this village who started out with us as Beavers and have gone on to become well rounded young adults whom we are very proud to have been a part of their development.  We aim to continue to this trend for the next 100 years!  Any help would be appreciated.

We start each evening with a welcome drink, then we take places for a 4-course meal, plus coffee, all for £25.00 per head. We don't have a drinks licence, so please bring your own wine or beer to have with your meal.

These evenings have proved very popular, and they usually "sell out" within 24 hours so don't delay. Keep an eye on the Chapel Kitchen Supper Club facebook page or the Flore facebook page for announcements.

Commonwealth Flag Project & Commonwealth Disaster Relief Scheme

Johnnie Amos 01327 349080

yeolbakery@aol.com

The Flore Commonwealth Flag Project started as a means to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The inspiration behind this choice was The Queen’s unwavering work for, and love of, the Commonwealth. Further research showed that the commonwealth flags were not flown in the UK, therefore it seemed a perfect and unique idea for our village, and the Commonwealth Flags Project took on the task.

January 2019 has seen the local Flore Scouts (led by Mike Dowson) taking on the flying of the Commonwealth Flags, a move which should benefit the village and the project as well as helping to educate and inform the Scouts themselves.
